| Previously “staged” by a “stager”, this was a house in a state of disarray. It was infiltrated by sporadically placed tiny fake plastic plants, plagued by inconsistent lightbulbs, badly hung art, messy bedding, sterile locales, haphazard bookshelves, and disbanded furniture—none of which would be have been approved by the CIA. |

Despite playing with a loose narrative, I had one resolution, and one resolution only: delivering potential buyers with edge-of-the-seat results with well-placed set pieces, and balletic action heaped on a platter of swift escapism. Put together, the message spells out long-term success, not tactics. And that’s crucial, because when crafting your mission—selling a property, you need to do the same thing. |

Step 1: First of all, I am crystal clear about who I’m going after. Step 2: Next, I accessed the faux pas. Cut to locales: kitchen, living room, bathrooms and bedrooms, laundry room, basement, front and backyard, and.squich-ey shots of poorly hung art. Step 3: Not just deliver what’s needed, but make it happen. Because the only thing that can self-destruct is a message, not the messenger. That is the mission of Staging Mission: Possible. One that I accomplish exceedingly well. The only thing that matters is the mission. |
